Music Stand Shelf

Accessory shelves are often used by bassoon, oboe and english horn musicians. They keep tuners, metronomes, spare reeds and other supplies readily available during rehearsals, concerts and practice sessions.

These two piece shelves, handcrafted of cherry wood, quickly and easily attach to most major music stands like Manhasset, Wenger and Hamilton among others. They are extremely lightweight, sturdy, compact and easily stow away flat in most instrument bags or backpacks. The standard shelf is 4” deep and 9” wide but they can be made to order to your specific dimensions. The standard shelf sells for $60 CDN plus shipping or can be picked up locally.

The first version of this shelf was made for my daughter back in 2012 while she studied oboe at university. She has been using the same shelf ever since and often gets requests from colleagues. It is a nice alternative to the heavy metal shelves on the market which seem to be almost all that is available.
